The League

A man who appeared to be a Neuro is attempting to rob a jewelry store when the he is struck by an assassin's bullet. But despite the fact that the thief possessed telekinetic powers, he has normal human DNA according to Dr. Carpenter. Shortly thereafter, a jealous husband with the power to turn invisible commits a pair of murders, attacks Connor, and ultimately becomes targeted by the same elusive sniper who killed the powerful jewel thief. But while Dr. Carpenter insists that this man was not a Neuro either, a bit of research reveals that both the murderer and the thief had advanced-level brain tumors. As for the assassin, could it be that another team of Neuro-hunters is stalking the street and shooting to kill? Then Dr. Carpenter discovers that the jewel thief and the killer were once members of a high-school gang called the League of Five, and that it's the assassin who's the true Neuro. As the team begins the search for the three remaining members of the League of Five, the revelation that the sniper was actually a part of the gang leads them to a Vivian, a former member of the gang who has went on to become an influential congresswoman.
