Ghost in the Machine

After Connor has his hand scalded and his leg nearly shredded in a pair of bizarre accidents, he and Jane join Andre and Maureen at a local warehouse in order to confront a teenage Neuro and his gang of goths. Suddenly, an eardrum-bursting sonic blast emerges from the Neuro. Though the terrible noise ceases when Jane chips the Neuro, Connor nearly has his skull crushed by a loading-dock door as the team leaves the warehouse. Connor chalks it all up to bad luck, but Jane insists that more insidious forces may be at work - perhaps even a vengeful enemy from Connor's shady past. Though Jane's attempt to prod Andre for information on Connor's past ultimately proves futile, Andre suspects that she may be on to something and asks Riley to investigate further. It seems that nearly a decade ago Connor had belonged to an elite police unit, and that every one of his partners have been killed in the same kind of accidents that have recently befallen him as of late. Andre urges Connor to lie low for a while, and when Jane visits Connor's workshop discovers a violent intruder. Though the intruder does indeed turn out to be Connor's former senior officer William, William proves to be the least of the team's worries when a vengeful former squad member-turned-Neuro turns headquarters upside down by controlling the machinery with he power of his mind.
