Something Nasty in the Neighborhood

Sinister forces are at work in the quaint small town of Fair Oaks, and the team is determined to find out why three residents have recently vanished without a trace. The neighbors claim to know nothing, and the FBI agent who was sent to investigate was gunned down by a trigger-happy housewife. In order to investigate, Andre and Maureen pose as a couple seeking to purchase a home in Fair Oaks. Once there, the teammates cross paths with a local teen named Danny who feels as if the residents of Fair Oaks are acting like pod people. Though the housing board ultimately rejects Andre and Maureen, Jane and Connor prove decidedly more successful in purchasing a home in Fair Oaks. Later, on move-in day, a blank-eyed Danny stops by for a visit and tells the couple that they'll really like it there. Upon sitting down for an evening in front of the television that night, Jane and Connor become unusually mesmerized by the local community access station. Back at headquarters, the team has noticed some disturbing trends in Fair Oaks; it seems that if someone doesn't fit in there, they soon meet a grim demise. When Jane and Connor begin exhibiting the same kind of Stepford Wives behavior as the rest of the locals, Riley theorizes that a Neuro has been controlling minds through the television signal. Fortunately, Jane suffers a minor injury that seems to snap her out of it. Could it be that the mayor of Fair Oaks is the Neuro, or is the host of the local Martha Stewart-like public access show the one who could use a chipping?, The team and Jane investigate when federal agents entering the town of Fair Oaks are killed, and discover a Neuro who is controlling the community.
