Trial by Fire

Arrested for arson after being spotted fleeing the site of a deadly fire, Connor has a hard time convincing the authorities that he was actually the man attempting to apprehend a pyromaniac Neuro. The feds have yet to admit the existence of Neuros, leaving Connor to take the fall for a crime he did his best to prevent. When even Andre proves incapable of securing Connor's freedom, Maureen arrives to inform the frustrated prisoner that his future isn't looking too bright. But Riley believes she has distinguished a pattern for the arsons, and when Connor stages a daring escape Jane takes a handful of bullets for her innocent friend. Later, things take a turn for the worse when leads dry up back at headquarters and the judge permits Connor's criminal record to be admitted as evidence. To make matters even worse, Connor's former police partner Bill is set to testify against his old colleague. Thankfully, Andre hatches an ingenious plan to sway Bill away from testifying - a plan involving a darkened back-alley, a loaded gun, and a fearless agent named Jane. It's a bold play, but it may just buy the team enough time to track down the pyro-happy Neuro and prove Connor's innocence.
