Synopsis
The Outlaw Star is continuing its job as a space tugboat orbiting Heifong. Its next job is to tow an advertising ship into its dock, but there's a surprise waiting Gene, Jim, and Melfina once they've docked with the ad ship. Grappling hooks shoot into the Outlaw Star and a virus is uploaded that knocks Gilliam out of action. At the same time, a video message plays that informs Gene and crew that unless they help the People's Liberation Front unseat the Viceroy of Heifong the ad ship will be detonated, taking the Outlaw Star with it. The Viceroy decides not give in to the terrorists, even if it means sacrificing the hostages. Jim manages to fix a lot of systems, but only the ship's grappler arms are free to operate. If Gene can't do anything, the ad ship and the Outlaw Star will plunge into the Viceroy's palace. Suzuka leaves Starwind & Hawking to make contact with the person who constructed the bomb on the ad ship, which amazes and confuses Aisha. Jim doubts Gene's ability to defuse the bomb. Gene is forced to open up various parts of the ad ship to try to find the bomb components, which proves hazardous to the ship. Suzuka and Aisha conduct special interrogations to gather information. After the explosion, Jim gets a partial fix on the location of the bomb's creator. He and Gene work together to jam the bomber's signals. Gene finds the bomb and makes like he knows a lot about bombs -- from watching movies on TV. Jim reacts strangely to the stress of the situation. Gene nearly cuts a wire, but is interrupted by a transmission from Suzuka and Aisha. They were given some good information and transportation by Fred Luo. In the end, a completely different strategy is uncovered that involves simple robbery. Gene is up to the challenges of the terrorists. Suzuka and Aisha uncover the bad guys, making short work of them. Gene, Suzuka, and Aisha team up to stop the terrorist in his tracks.
