Synopsis
The battle for Hill 875 in Vietnam on Thanksgiving, 1967, by the 173rd Airborne Brigade, As screened on the Military Channel, the documentary series Combat Zone pulls viewers "inside" of noted armed conflicts, military missions and wartime turning points from the late 20th and 21st century. Each episode hones in on one such event, with everything shot through the soldiers' eyes. In each case, dramatic reenactments (featuring professional actors) are used to transport audiences back to the place and time in question. The titular piece of land in the episode "Hill 875 (Vietnam, 1967)" witnessed one of the most grueling and ugly battles in the Vietnam War. At that location, a unit of American paratroopers attempted to advance along high ground and reach a point within twenty yards of the assaultive North Vietnamese Army.
