Synopsis

Also: Cambridge Cathedral, with its royal carvings, "a monument to the power and glory of the Tudors.", In Crown and Country: Cambridge, Edward Windsor, Earl of Wessex, returns to his alma mater to reveal the history of one of England's two leading institutions of higher learning. In the 13th century, a group of scholars left Oxford and its then riotous situation, and started Cambridge, which enjoys royal patronage. Edward brings a personal touch to the presentation, examining the continuing touchy standoff between townspeople and the academics.
