Synopsis
St. Edmundsbury, once called Bury St. Edmonds, was once the site of murder and intrigue, and is the subject of Crown and Country: Bury St. Edmonds, written, produced, and hosted by Edward Windsor, Earl of Wessex. King Edmund became England's first patron saint, and his stature became so powerful over the centuries that all kings and queens are sworn to make a pilgrimage to his shrine on the occasion of their coronations. The Abbot of Bury, St. Edmonds became second in power only to the sovereign ruler.
