Synopsis
In '44 Charles Ryder is a disenchanted Army captain leading his dispirited company to a new, secret location. Anthony Andrews and Jeremy Irons star in the timeless classic adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited. In 1944 Charles Ryder (Irons) is a disenchanted Army captain leading his dispirited company to a new, secret location. When they awake, Charles recognises the location as Brideshead Castle, a place he came to know well during the 1920s. He begins to reminisce about the happier times he spent at Brideshead with his friend Sebastian (Andrews), whose wealthy family lived there and welcomed Charles into their glamorous lifestyle, despite Sebastian's warnings that becoming involved with his relatives would prove disastrous. John Gielgud co-stars as Charles' father.
