Synopsis
Uncut version. Aware that the Wood Royal Commission may be on to him, Dennis Kelly betrays Jim Egan to the investigators. Egan is subsequently called to testify - and takes a drastic course of action. Gerry Lloyd uses her charms in recruiting aspiring drug dealer Shaka to expose the corrupt police officers working with Bill Bayeh. But this results in a series of overdoses and Shaka's own deportation. In spite of the Commission, an arrogant and delusional Bayeh continues his drug operation. John Ibrahim is also called to testify. He refuses to answer certain questions, risking jail time on top of the outstanding charge against him for accessory to murder. Kim Hollingsworth continues to endanger her own life by uncovering Eddie Gould's corruption. Gerry Lloyd convinces her to come back on board, this time investigating Superintendent Dennis Kelly. When the operation goes belly-up Kim is packed off to Adelaide and is left with only one avenue open to her.
