Synopsis
An erupting volcano has sent a herd of triceratops on a stampede, and they've demolished everything in their path, including settler farmlands. Scharnhorst favors annihilating the triceratops utterly so that it will never happen again; Jack and Hannah, taking the longer view, realize that destroying the triceratops will upset the local ecosystem and result in the loss of the city's crops. Swayed by their arguments, the council gives Jack and his crew 72 hours to get rid of the triceratops his way -- or else Scharnhorst has her way. Jack's solution is to herd the triceratops, cowboy-style, to different feeding grounds until the eruptions are over. Hammer Terhune, on the other hand, sees an opportunity in Jack getting all the triceratops into one place. (Original air date: September 25, 1993.).
