Synopsis
Basil Fawlty (John Cleese) and his wife Sybil (Prunella Scales) decide to spend the weekend away from the hotel, and Basil arranges for Mr. O'Reily (David Kelly) to do some repairs while he's gone. However, Polly (Connie Booth) and Manuel (Andrew Sachs), who've been left in charge, somehow get the idea that Mr. Stubbs (James Appleby) is supposed to be doing the work. Accordingly, Stubbs botches the job, and when Basil gets back early, he and O'Reily have to scramble to fix the mistakes before Sybil finds out.
