Emmett (Peter Paige) is becoming obsessive about cybersex, but his online persona is that of a muscular "top," so he can't meet any of the people he has sex with on his computer. When baby Gus comes down with a fever, Lindsay (Thea Gill) and Melanie (Michelle Clunie) rush him to the hospital, but Mel not being Gus' birth mother or his legal guardian, is not allowed into the emergency room. On top of that, she has a verbal altercation with a homophobic desk nurse. She wants to petition for second parent adoption, but first Brian (Gale Harold) has to relinquish his parental rights. Emmett is unnerved when he has visions of his hunky screen name, Pitts9x6 (Steve Boyle), coming to life and ordering him around, trying to make him more like his fantasy self. Michael (Hal Sparks) is nervous about a dinner party at David's (Chris Potter), and has the gang give him a crash course in table manners. It turns out to be an awkward affair, and only gets worse when Michael realizes, and announces, that one of the other guests once gave him an STD. Brian, after agreeing to give up parental rights to Gus, goes to visit his own father (Lawrence Dane), a broken-down drunk who doesn't know Brian is gay, and borrows money from his son. He says that Brian is just like him, and was never meant to settle down. The dinner party has Michael thinking that he and David are going to break up, but David has very different plans. This episode was directed by John Greyson (Zero Patience).
