Synopsis
The hunters are in Guam, a Pacific island overrun with invasive species, where they're determined to help preserve a fragile environment. Biologist James Stanford coordinates the removal of brown tree snakes on the island, and it doesn't take long before browns appear to be dropping out of the trees. The guys visit a bird sanctuary that's working to keep the Guam rail from going extinct. Nearby Cocos Island is home to invasive mangrove monitors and the guys join the hunt. Back on Guam, biologist Bjorn Lardner studies the movement patterns of brown tree snakes. He inserts a tiny radio transmitter inside a dead gecko but the real challenge is convincing a baby snake to take the bait. The guys go hunting for feral pigs and take a bite out of the island's invasive coconut rhinoceros beetle population. With no natural predators the beetle is reproducing exponentially.
