Synopsis
Adam Richman's search for all American eats brings him to New Haven, Connecticut. Home to his Alma Mater, Yale University, and so many of his favorite spots to chow down! First, Adam will take a bite out of history when he tries the original birthplace of the hamburger at Louis' Lunch. Louis' Lunch has been serving the Man V. Food Nation since 1900 from the day the hamburger was invented there. Next, Adam is off to the signature Clams Casino Pie at AModern Apizza. And finally Adam reaches the trip's climax at the Caseus Cheese Truck-- to be alongside college freshman Ric Best as he takes on a formidable food adversary. Adam aims to help him defeat the Caseus Cheese Truck Challenge: to finish 10 grilled cheese sandwiches with your topping of choice in one hour! If Ric beats this challenge he can eat grilled cheese at the truck for free whenever he wants, plus he can name a sandwich that will be the newest addition to the menu. Will Ric Best rise above the cheese or just be full of it?, Adam Richman heads to New Haven, to cheer on a university freshman who's attempting to eat 10 grilled cheeses within one hour in the premiere of this "Man v. Food" spin-off, which finds courageous chowhounds in cities across the country stepping up to the plate and taking on food challenges in their hometowns.
