Synopsis
In this episode, newly-engaged couple Mary and Justin want to build a life together in rural Devon, the home of both their families for generations. However with house prices soaring, they have only one option to stay where they know and love. They embark on building a £95,000 house but it turns out they have just £60,000 in their budget. Kieran worries that they have taken on too much, though it turns out the plans for a low-cost build have similarly low expectations. Kieran helps prove it is possible to have a beautiful home on a budget whilst Piers encourages them to incorporate architectural features that are unique to them. However a problem with the timber frame places everything in jeopardy.
