We hope Season Two will give us the opportunity to make the quintessential Angry Planet show - a full episode exploring a major hurricane that makes landfall in Florida or the Carolinas. Hurricane experts Dr. Philip J. Klotzbach and Dr. William M. Gray at Colorado State University predict a very active 2007 season, with 17 named storms and as many as 9 hurricanes. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) concurs, saying that of the predicted 8-10 hurricanes in 2007, 4 to 6 will go on to become Category 3 or greater, and that there is an 81% chance one of these major hurricanes will hit the east coast of the USA. George's signature stormchasing involves long drives in his stormmobile into the center of the action. We'll document his quest to be in the places where no-one else wants to go. We'll also meet some new hurricane-hunting associates - such as Florida-based chaser Tim Miller, who has developed his own new equipment to monitor and document hurricanes.
