Indian Monsoon

In June of next year we plan to intercept the Monsoon as it hits southern India and makes its way north along the western shore past Goa and Mumbai up to Delhi.This most famous of torrential rainy seasons drops as much as 40 feet of water on parts of the parched sub-continent.Strangely, this is not a downbeat time of the year for Indians, but rather a time for celebration. People come to the coast to enjoy the rain and we document this most precisely timed of all seasonal weather patterns. As can be seen by the map above, the Indian weather service believe it can predict the arrival of the Monsoon down to the day. George participates in Indian culture and experiences this most exotic part of the world, from snake charmers and beggars to maharajahs ,seeing India as the heavens open above it.
