Synopsis

Police drama series. Battle-scarred from their conflict during the last series, Rachel and Janet are determined to move forward. Rachel aims to give her career her best shot, and not be bogged down by the chaos of her personal life, while Janet wants the opportunities she feels she deserves. Scott and Bailey find themselves in front of the promotions board, being interviewed for the post of sergeant. When both pass with flying colours, DCI Gill Murray has to choose which of them gets the job at Syndicate 9. This episode involves the abduction and possible murder of vulnerable young man Robin McKendrick. When a photo of Robin gagged and bound in the boot of a car appears on Facebook, Syndicate 9 suspect that he is already dead. A lead takes the team to a local quarry where they expect to find Robin's remains. But when the divers are called in, the body they find is that of a young woman.
