Now Approaching... The Line
Series: Queer as Folk
Synopsis
Brian (Gale Harold) wakes up next to a stranger (nothing new for him) before Lindsay (Thea Gill) drops by to invite him to dinner with her and Melanie (Michelle Clunie). Tracy (Lindsey Connell) has a crush, and volunteers to stay late at the Big Q to help Michael (Hal Sparks) with inventory, and Michael falls off a ladder while counting feminine hygiene products. At family therapy with his mother, Jennifer (Sherry Miller), Justin (Randy Harrison) makes no bones (so to speak) about his sexual preference. Ted (Scott Lowell) lets the guys know that after his near-death experience, his clubbing days are over. Justin bolts from a club when his friend, Daphne (Makyla Smith), shows up, with his mom in tow. Justin runs to Brian, who makes him sleep on the couch. Michael ends up in the strong hands of David (Chris Potter of Silk Stalkings), a handsome chiropractor. Michael finds himself embarrassingly aroused by his adjustment, but David doesn't seem to mind. In fact, David shows up at the store later to ask Michael out. Brian takes a prospective client, a closeted older man, out to Babylon, and when the guy puts the moves on him, Brian has a decision to make. After a heartfelt discussion with Debbie (Sharon Gless), Jennifer hunts down Justin and lets her know she loves and accepts him. Her acceptance is tested when she takes Justin to a museum and catches him slipping into the men's room with another boy. Emmett (Peter Paige) and Brian both try to help Michael get ready for his big date, with mixed results. Michael has never been on an actual date. "Why can't we just fast-forward to the sex?" he complains to his friends, "What a dumb idea.", Justin attends therapy with his mother; Brian "entertains" a client, who's a married man living a double life; and Michael gets adjusted by a hunky chiropractor.
