Synopsis
Patrick and Sally have very different recollections of how they first met. But is there something more between them than just being good friends?, When Patrick (Ben Miles) responds to a late-night distress call from Sally (Kate Isitt), he gets a pair of rude shocks. No only was the phone call merely a dream, but Sally's busy romancing it up with another suitor. As the pair's growing emotional intimacy raises prickly questions about their "friendship," Sally and Patrick recount to their respective friends the story of their first meeting. The encounter occurred prior to the first episode of Coupling, at an office party to which Susan (Sarah Alexander) and Jeff (Richard Coyle) invited Sally, Patrick, Steve (Jack Davenport), and Jane (Gina Bellman). Because copious amounts of booze were involved, the details of the story change with the teller. What's clear by the end is that Sally and Patrick are disturbed by the feelings they have for each other. Originally broadcast October 14, 2002, on BBC2, "Remember This" marked season three, episode four of the hit Britcom.
