A triple pregnancy scare and a romantic denouement keep things interesting in Coupling's third-season finale. When Sally (Kate Isitt) fears she may have gotten knocked up, she convinces Susan (Sarah Alexander) and Jane (Gina Bellman) to take home-pregnancy tests with her. One of the strips turns blue, but in the confusion of the moment, nobody can figure out whose. Susan's sure it isn't her, as she's just learned that she has a health issue that makes conception difficult. That leaves Jane to fret about the pizza delivery boy (see "The Girl With One Heart") and Sally to freak out about a recent one-night stand (see "Remember This"). Sally's also still mortified about accidentally declaring her true feelings for Patrick (Ben Miles) during a recent dinner party (see "The Girl With One Heart"). Patrick finally lures her to the pub for a declaration of his own, but his announcement isn't the biggest surprise of the evening. Originally broadcast November 4, 2002, on BBC2, "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" marked season three, episode seven of the hit Britcom. Following this episode, Richard Coyle left the regular cast of Coupling.
