Synopsis
Host Will Durst examines the trend toward longer working hours. "America is working longer, harder and faster," says Durst, who travels around the country, meeting hard workers. In San Francisco, he surveys the "24-hour culture" at a new-media company. And in Seattle, he takes a job as a "lackey," running errands for busy dot-commers. He also examines job-sharing and flex-time, and in Manhattan, he reminisces about the "three-martini lunch" with veteran adman Jerry Della Femina. "Is there anything about those days you miss?" Durst asks. "All of it," the soda-sipping Della Famina replies.
