Flood

It's literally raining cats and dogs outside. Rick (Rik Mayall) plays a ridiculous trick on Vyvyan (Adrian Edmondson) by holding his own face to a window for three hours, and his "fascist" roommates fall for it. Rick and Vyvyan have an argument over a reactionary comic book, and Rick imagines himself as a sort of People's Poet heroic character. It's Neil's (Nigel Planer) turn to go shopping, so the boys gather money from the kitty before Vyvyan explains a potion he's created to transform a person into a homicidal axe-wielding maniac. Thinking Mike (Christopher Ryan) has stolen an apple he was saving, Rick sets about searching for it, but instead finds a lion tamer and snarling lions in Mike's bedroom. While playing hide-and-seek, Vyvyan hides in a wardrobe and soon finds himself in Narnia. The game turns ugly when Vyvyan sets fire to Rick's sociology file, Rick reciprocates by stabbing Vyvyan in the head with a fork, and Balowski (Alexei Sayle) shows up and sips the axe-wielding maniac potion. The heavy rainfall has a caused a complete flood of London, and the boys attempt to phone for help, build a submarine, eviscerate Neil so they can eat him in case of starvation, and avoid the crazed Balowski who has pulled a Jack Torrance on them. Will Vyvyan's hamster survive the flood?, Follow the anarchic exploits of four students sharing a squalid North London house. Disaster looms as riots sweep the country, the economy collapses and the threat of nuclear conflict grows - but the question is, will Cliff survive?, In the Season 1 finale, a rainstorm wreaks havoc in London, but helps put out a fire in the boys' home.
