Synopsis
At Georgia's Smith State Prison, every day is a battle for control between some of the state's toughest inmates and the paramilitary system that's fighting to contain them. Crude handmade knives, or shanks, are found daily in prison-run shakedowns, and cell phones are a growing threat to security. Despite the efforts of the staff, tensions are building and Smith finds itself teetering on the edge of an all-out fight.
