The arrival of summer brings drastic change to Alaska. Now that the spring thaw is finally complete, the bitter cold tundra of the Alaskan winter is transformed into a lush green wilderness. But don't be fooled, just because the temperature is a bit more bearable does not make navigating the Alaskan Bush any less treacherous. The summer brings change to our pilots as well. Restless, young flyboy Jay Wattum has decided to leave his job, his twin brother and Kodiak Island behind and make his North to Healey. There he will join the ranks of Fly Denali Tours, an operation that flies tourists onto the glaciers surrounding Mt. McKinley. Will Jay have what it takes to make successful landings on the glaciers surrounding the highest peek in North America? More importantly how will this independent, sarcastic young gun for hire adjust to becoming a Company man? Meanwhile in Haines Drake Olson is busy catering to throngs of flight-seeing tourists. Worried that Drake has lost his soul, Drake's apprentice Bryan suggests a scouting flight to new undiscovered mountain locations as a good way for Drake to recapture his soul. But when a landing in unfamiliar terrain turns ugly a lot more could be lost. And outside of Juneau, Dustin Caroll of Coastal Helicopters must battle a forest fire that threatens not only the homes of nearby residents but also the nesting grounds for a group of Bald Eagles.
