White Noise

Disabled with a sprained foot and having gulped down too many pain pills, undercover agent Vinnie (Ken Wahl) heads to the hospital for a checkup--only to end up confined to a mental ward thanks to the vengeful chicanery of former OCB bigwig Daryl Elias (John M. Jackson). Kept under heavy sedation by a crooked orderly, Vinnie soon finds that he can no longer separate fact from imagination, and begins hallucinating about his checkered past. While in this delirium, Vinnie is confronted by the "ghost" of his onetime friend, crime boss Sonny Steelgrave (Ray Sharkey), who isn't about to let Vinnie off the hook for betraying him to the Feds. Series star Ken Wahl wrote the story for this episode while recuperating at home from a real-life foot injury.
