The Black Adder

Biting satire of British history focuses on a weaselly liar named Edmund and his thick sidekick, Baldrick, as they stumble into one jam after another. The series combines sharp verbal barbs, farcical situations and brilliant send-ups of historical figures. Star Rowan Atkinson ('Mr. Bean') co-created the series with Richard Curtis, who later penned 'Four Weddings and a Funeral,' 'Notting Hill' and 'Love Actually.', First series of the classic historical comedy about the venomous but luckless Blackadder. His 15th-century personification is Edmund, Duke of Edinburgh, son of King Richard IV and owner of one of the worst haircuts in history.
