Afghanistan: Part 1

Porter is outed as a British Special Forces operative at Sharq's Pakistani base. With his life in danger Porter's only hope is to try and talk Sharq's disciple, the mentally unstable Baxter, down. In a moment of clarity Baxter shoots one of Sharq's guards and the two men begin their escape, heading for the rendezvous point in Afghanistan. But the typing becomes more hurried and the missile changes course, hitting the US troops. The hacker lets out a cheer of jubilation - he's British. Section 20, London: An investigation is launched into how British air support failed. It's discovered that encryption codes were hacked into in the field. Evidence leads to a former missile guidance engineer, Gerald Baxter, who served in Iraq but was dismissed, suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. John Porter is assigned to locate and extract Baxter.
