The Ghost in the Machine

The team is returning from an exploratory mission when an arc of electric blue energy causes the ship's primary systems to completely shut down, slamming them into an active Stargate. Disorientated, the team narrowly make it home, only to discover that similar technological troubles have struck the city. Indeed, before they know it, every single system in the Atlantis has been hit by power disruptions. Another piece to the puzzle is added when McKay receives a mysterious message on his computer. The creator claims to be a former friend who has long been presumed dead. Now an incorporeal presence, she begs Rooney to tap into the Ancient's technology and build her a new body from scratch. Though not entirely convinced, the team has a dilemma on its hands. Should the crew release an enigmatic entity who may, or may not, be a friend or should they stand by and watch it systematically destroy the city's entire technological infrastructure?.
