Old man Blanco has been released on parole but rejects it to protest his innocence in the murder of his wife. Fletch and his fellow fellons form an appeal committee to win Blanco a pardon from the home office. The third series of the classic comedy starring Ronnie Barker as Fletch. 'Porridge' is slang for a jail sentence and habitual offender Norman Stanley Fletcher is doing five years of it. He whiles away the time sharing his wealth of experience with his fellow inmates, particularly naive, young first-timer Lennie, whom Fletch takes under his fatherly wing.
