Synopsis
When Jane suffers a debilitating stroke due to a bad reaction with the tranquilizers, Sydney swears that she didn't know the pills could cause such damage. When Kimberly suggests that Sydney attempt to divert suspicion from herself by becoming Jane's caretaker, Sydney reluctantly moves into the beach house. Meanwhile, Brooke informs Billy that she has suffered a miscarriage, and that in order for her to gain access to Hayley's money he will have to get her pregnant again immediately. But an informative conversation with Brooke's doctor reveals the truth, effectively ending Billy and Brooke's marriage. Later, Bobby invites Amanda, Peter, and Alison out for a weekend in Palm Springs, and Billy drives out to talk with Alison. As New Year's Eve winds towards midnight, Bobby kisses Amanda while Peter looks on unnoticed.
