Synopsis
Covering the years 1961 through 1967, the second installment of the three-part documentary series Jimi Hendrix: The Uncut Story allows viewers a glimpse into the formative years of the legendary guitarist behind such hits as "Foxy Lady" and "Purple Haze". Joining up with Hendrix shortly after his stint in the army, we see him playing with some of the biggest names in R&B as the sideman on the Chitlin' Circuit. A trip to New York City is quickly followed by a voyage to the UK, where Hendrix became an overnight sensation while rubbing elbows with some of the biggest British rock stars of the era. Before long, The Jimi Hendrix Experience has become the hottest rock trio from London to L.A.
