Synopsis
While Arthur's warriors are away, Guinevere (Tamsin Egerton) hears her father is dying and immediately leaves to see him without an escort. Knowing that the lands are unsafe, Arthur (Jamie Campbell Bower) travels with her. Without the pressures or watchful eyes of Camelot, they find themselves talking freely and with a new ease. Merlin (Joseph Fiennes), uncomfortable in Camelot after his recent intimacy with Igraine, leads Kay (Peter Mooney), Leontes (Philip Winchester) and Gawain (Clive Standen) away to Ector's (Sean Pertwee) house to retrieve his library, an essential tool for Arthur. On the journey, the men challenge Merlin on why he will not use his magical powers to help Arthur establish Camelot. Meanwhile, Morgan's (Eva Green) support is growing as people flock to Castle Pendragon to have their disputes legislated by her.
