Synopsis

Part of 4, Part 1 of a two-part documentary detailing the environmental catastrophe that destroyed farmlands in the US and caused massive dust storms during the 1930s. Firsthand stories of survivors, photos and film footage chronicle the era, including the terror that the dust storms brought with them; the desperation faced by families; and how, through it all, folks managed to find hope.
