Synopsis
The Sitka herring run is intense1 and competitive2 fishing. Fishermen can make a lot of money in a short period of time3 and so can pilots4. Boat captains hire pilots to work with them, spotting fish from the sky5. But this type of flying is not saferisky6: people have collided mid air and died while spotting herring 7 . Young twin pilots Jay and Keller Wattum 8 are new to herring spotting9.
