Synopsis
Crime novelist Marcus Sakey travels the country, digging up untold stories from the underbellies of major cities. He kicks off the series in his hometown of Chicago, the onetime home of H.H. Holmes, America's first serial killer. The host also walks in the footsteps of legendary gangster John Dillinger, and digs into the riots at the 1968 Democratic National Convention.
