Synopsis
This looks at a question that unites every single one of the seven billion people sharing this planet, why are we here? It is a question that has led our species on an incredible journey of understanding about the universe from which we all sprang. Brian follows this story beginning in India, where he searches for what could be the earliest evidence of rational thought in human history. It is found in an ancient Hindu text that pondered the question of our origin, as early Vedic theologians became aware that there must have been a day with no yesterday, a day of creation. This forced them to ask a very modern question, where did the universe itself come from? As Brian discovers, the clues are all around us in nature.
