Synopsis
The absurdly wealthy Darling family return for a second series, with Lucy Liu joining the cast as the mysterious Nola Lyons. Reports of the demise of the Darlings' Valhalla estate are rife and rumours of a Darling family member's death in the fire are spreading. The family are also shaken by an unexpected arrest for the murder of Nick's (Peter Krause) father. Tripp and Letitia Darling (Donald Sutherland and Jill Clayburgh) throw Nick a lavish birthday party on a yacht, although Nick and Lisa (Zoe McLellan) had been planning to celebrate privately. However, Tripp calls on Nick to broker a reconciliation with his son Patrick (William Baldwin), who's going through a rough patch in his marriage as he searches for his missing transgendered mistress. Meanwhile, Jeremy (Seth Gabel) reveals his feelings for Lisa to mysterious Nola Lyons (Liu); Karen's (Natalie Zea) relationship with Tripp's nemesis, Simon Elder (Blair Underwood), reaches a new level of intimacy; and de-frocked Brian (Glenn Fitzgerald) is reunited with his illegitimate son.
