Synopsis
When the dead body of an old priest, Father Royce, is discovered, beheaded, Father Malachy, of all people, asks Jack Taylor for help. Father Royce had abused two boys years earlier and Malachy was the only witness. Royce was moved overseas and the church covered up the crime – leaving the boys alone with their pain. Father Malachy believes it was a revenge crime but now fears for his life. Jack and Cody find out that both victims, Michael Clare and Tom Reed, are still living in Galway. While Michael is a married man with a family, and a successful businessman, Tom Reed's life went the opposite direction: he has fallen on hard times, was convicted of raping a boy, Christian Tracey 10 years ago and became a drug-dealer and since an addict.
