Arctic Hell

Eight of Alaska's toughest outdoorsmen embark on a ten-leg expedition traversing a 3,000-mile route across the brutal Alaska terrain. These adventurers are about to take the ultimate test of survival in arctic conditions that only National Geographic could inspire. No tent, no phone, no watch or GPS. The only goal is to make it out alive using just with the gear they can carry in their packs. Their Alaskan journey begins where America's last frontier collides with the Arctic Circle, at the heart of the forbidding Brooks Mountain Range. Once on the ground, the explorers will need to travel on foot nearly 50 miles in 72 hours to their extraction point on Takahula Lake. As the survivalists quickly mobilize, they split up into three teams with drastically different routes and strategies. Expert climber, Willi Prittie, leads Brent Sass and Tyler Johnson into the high mountains, exposing them to rugged topography and wolves. In an effort to avoid these predators, Willi blazes a new path that ends up pinning his crew up against the struggle to find food, stay warm, and manage a way to cross the river's rough waters of the Alatna River. Veteran mountain man, Marty Raney leads his son Matt Raney and Austin Manelick through the treacherous river valley. Marty soon finds himself fighting to keep his team together and alive while trying to carve out a new path through an unforgiving river and a deadly swampland. Moving fast are the brothers Dallas and Tyrell Seavey, who have chosen to traverse the barren ridgeline. With very little cover and a scarcity of food options, the brother's face an unrelenting storm and overwhelming cloud cover, only to realize they may be moving fast in the wrong direction. With their lives on the line, these explorers will risk it all. Every second of this journey will test each man's skills and push many to their breaking point. Their competition is raw nature. Their prize is survival.
