Synopsis
Produced by Filmation and featuring the voices of Batman television stars Adam West and Burt Ward, The New Adventures of Batman was an animated adventure series that premiered on CBS in February of 1977 and ran concurrently with Hannah-Barbera's Super Friends. In this series, the Dynamic Duo scoured the streets of Gotham City to face off against a series of formidable opponents both old and new. Meanwhile, extra-dimensional imp Bat Mite appears frequently to lend his crime-fighting idol a helping hand - his uninvited but well-intended intervention usually causing in more harm than good. In the first episode of the series, entitled "The Pest," Batman and Robin find their attempt to defeat the dreaded Joker suddenly complicated by the unexpected arrival of Bat Mite, who inadvertently sends a typical Gotham City showdown spiraling into chaos.
