Synopsis
The first episode of the comedy series following the antics of foul-tempered, wildly eccentric bookshop owner Bernard Black, his long-haired and equally long-suffering assistant Manny (Bill Bailey), and his best and possibly only friend Fran (Tamsin Greig). When his dodgy accountant goes on the run, Bernard finds himself having to fill in his own tax return - not the easiest thing when you're mathematically illiterate. Meanwhile, Fran discovers a Thing.
