Synopsis
Jerry and Joanna arrive in sleepy Lymstock in order for Jerry to recuperate after a serious motorcycling accident. But their expectations of quiet and peace are quickly dashed when they discover a poison pen-writer is at work in the village. It is not long before they are of the conclusion that the village is full of sniping gossip and when Mrs Symmington, the solicitor's wife, is found dead, they realise this gossip has the most sinister edge.
