Synopsis
Larry (Garry Shandling) learns that a woman named Carol Biederman (Suanne Spoke) is claiming that he shoved her into a magazine rack in a grocery store. Larry denies it, but soon the studio is swarming with reporters. Asked if he's ever seen Larry being abusive, Jerry (Jeremy Piven) says, "Would you call beating a man half to death because you ran out of non-dairy creamer abusive?" Entertainment Tonight gets a copy of the security tape from the store, and it turns out Larry did inadvertently shove the woman. Larry wants to apologize to Biederman, but the network publicist, Norman (David Paymer), calls the situation a "publicity bonanza," and insists that Larry hold off on the apology. Upset by all the negative media attention, Larry locks himself in his office. He only comes out when Jeannie (Megan Gallagher) threatens him, "If you don't open the door in the next five minutes, I'm going to tell everyone here the nickname that you have for your penis." Larry insists on apologizing to Biederman, so Norman suggests he do it on the show, and Artie (Rip Torn) likes the idea.
