Synopsis
This episode explores the tangled lives of people whose relationships bring them into direct contact with the emergency services, and the role that police and ambulance staff play when matters of the heart clash with matters of law. PCs Bryony Hancock and Charlotte Wilson are called to a Saturday night lovers' tiff in Crewe before heading to help a young woman who's been assaulted in her home by her partner. After arresting the woman's boyfriend, PC Hancock's next challenge is to get a statement from the shaken victim. It's often after a relationship ends that trouble arises. In custody, tears of remorse can be heard through the corridors after a man is arrested for spray-painting abusive words about his ex-girlfriend on the outside walls of her house.
