Synopsis
Dr. Noah Phillips (Maurice Godin) has developed a process to reverse age and disease, but only for short periods of time -- and, in order to maintain natural equilibrium, a younger person must grow older for every older person who "retrogresses." Determined to forget about his process, Noah changes his mind when he develops a curious affection for Barbara Matheson (Barbara Rush), a woman twice his age who is desperate for a second chance in life. Should Noah break his self-imposed rule and try out his process on Barbara, even if it means sacrificing himself to do so? And what will be the consequences when Barbara's abusive husband Greg (Harve Presnell) finds out? First telecast in Canada on August 28, 1998, "The Balance of Nature" made its U.S. debut on September 4, 1998.
