Synopsis
Emmy award-winning West Wing executive producer/writer Aaron Sorkin re-teams with Emmy award-winning West Wing executive producer/director Thomas Schlamme for this behind-the-scenes look at a once popular late-night comedy sketch show that's now struggling to stay afloat amidst poor ratings and a high profile on-air meltdown. The stressed out executive producer of "Studio 60" has gone off the deep end, and every viewer tuned in to the show at the time became witness to one of the most talked-about incidents in the history of live television. In the aftermath of the high profile debacle, NBS Chairman of the Board Jack Rudolph (Eteven Weber) brings in savvy new Network Entertainment Chief Jordan McDeere (Amanda Peet) to get the show back on track. In Jordan's eyes, the only men capable of achieving this Herculean feat are the highly championed creative team of Matt Albie (Matthew Perry) and Danny Tripp (Bradley Whitford).
