Synopsis
Ever since some of the first explorers returned from Africa, there have been stories told of strange water-dwelling monsters living in the forests of the Congo Basin. Pygmy tribes of the area speak of an animal roughly the size of an elephant possessing a long thin neck. They call it Mokele-mbembe. Literally meaning 'the one who stops the flow of rivers', the beast is said to resemble a sauropod dinosaur. Biologist Pat Spain travels deep into the inhospitable Cameroon jungle to investigate if there is a logical, scientific explanation to these outlandish stories.
