Synopsis
Based on the true story of the 1963 train robbery, this drama shows how a group of mid-level criminals masterminded by Bruce Reynolds joined forces with a corrupt solicitor to hijack the Bank Holiday mail train from Glasgow to Euston. But their meticulous planning was compromised by a violent attack on the train driver and a botched getaway. Faced with such a huge and audacious crime, worth £44 million in today's money, the establishment hit back - and Reynolds and his men became the most wanted men in Britain. Ep. 1, Gangster Bruce Reynolds cooks up a scheme that could be his ticket out of the world of crime. However, his gang of thieves earns the public's adoration and a mass media following which sends the authorities in hot pursuit.
